And so it finally Starts...The CLCMembers.co.uk Blog

With Club La Costa themselves utilising more and more Social Methods, we at www.CLCMembers.co.uk thought it was about time we should do so as well.   We think its important that anyone coming over a Club La Costa Holiday or Presentation, where they may be invited to purchase a product, that those Prospects should be fully informed of what they are buying into.

We've been around as an Owners Group since 2003 so if you want to know anything about us, then please come and join our Members Forums.

We'll be honest with you up front and tell you that to get Full Access to all Areas of the Forums, it requires an Annual Membership Fee of £5.00.  2 and 3 Year Options are available which lower it to £4.  We also have a Guest Membership of £1.50 which has limited access.  All these sums go towards the Maintenance of the Site.  There are no Adverts flying around, so its nice, clean and tidy and we have in excess of 4000+ Members as I write this Intro Blog.   We keep the site Structured and operate on a very professional basis.   Club La Costa themselves are also on the Site, in their own Forum.  This allows us to take their official views from Members Services and discuss it amongst ourselves.  So its a Truly Consumer Based site, funded by those who Subscribe without any influences or connections with other Companies.

Members sometimes Rent out the use of their Points, Fixed Weeks and Properties and there are Resort Reviews and Discussions also available.  You can read the Reports from AGM's and find out the history of where it is today, and where its come from.   You can talk with other members and take views as well as contribute your own thoughts and experiences.  We'd love to hear from you and hope you'll join us.

I will report more news here from time to time and hope that you find it all very helpful.

  1. Hi All,

Just to say I've been a member of CLCMembers.co.uk for about 18months now and have found it to be really helpful whether you are a CLC member or just thinking about buying a CLC product. I only wish I'd found it earlier! Perhaps this new blogging site will help others to find it!

  2. I joined CLC members.co.uk in 2003 and have seen the site grow in size and capability substantially since then. In my opinion it shows a truly balanced view of Club La Costa membership and provides a variety of valuable and sensible information for members and potential members.

  3. CLCmember.co.uk what a terific site, we were lucky and found this site after we had been to our first presentation and bought a trial membership. It enabled us to find out about the various products in advance of our prelude holiday when trial members are given the full sales pitch. We saved a fortune by buying the right procuct for us from the right people. We also really love that you can ask people who have been there the questions you would like answered and get guenuine replies from other members, great resort reviews and shared photos. So many friends who holiday in like minded ways. Come see and join in. :-)

  4. I second all the comments above. I've been a member for about 18 months, and I've found it really useful for finding out more about how CLC works from the people who really know - the members!

  5. David and I bought into CLC in 2000. We have learnt more about the product and the company from this site in the 3 years we have been members than we have from clc....its strength is Robert and fellow members

  6. If in any doubt about what you may be about to commit to - with joining CLC - or having joined wanting to fully understand what you have bought into, then join the Members' site without delay. It will be a very small investment-literally only a few pounds, and every question, query or uncertainity about CLC will be addressed for you by fellow members. All contributions and advice offered is free, honest and hugely informative and there is no other motive then keeping you informed.Join us now-together we are strong!

  7. We joined in in 2005 and have never regretted one minute of it,all of our family and friends who have shared the experience think it is wonderful. This year we tried a month with 4 friends it went so well that we have booked another month next year. we always take family for 2 weeks in the summer and 1 week in October to attend the AGM. At every opportunity we tell as many members about our wonderful web site, as there are many (including long term members) who do not realise we exist, with this extra addition perhaps we will get many more.

  8. I can't help being skeptical about the CLC statement that the activities of the new company selling weeks direct to the general market will not have an effect on the availability of units for Vacation Club members. There always seems to be units available for freebie inspection weeks - we do talk to other holiday makers on site and some of what we hear is amazing.

  11. anyone who has tried to book monterey royale in the last year will know how impossible that is already, today i was told to book 36 months in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!! if they also open up to anyone for direct may be this will be book at some time in the next 60 years and you may just get a week!!!! I would strongly advise anyone thinking of joining CLC "Dont do it", save yourself a fortune and just book luxury holiday anywhere in the world it will still be vastly cheaper than joining such a fraudulent and dishonest company as CLC. Over £40,000 pounds and £2200 this year for so called maintenance and still cant get 2 weeks as monterey royale out of season. Please DO NOT THINK YOU WILL EVER GET OUT OF IT IN THE FUTURE. You won't. WE would if we could but its impossible. So be warned, record all conversations get everything in writing and don't be fooled by anything they say. They will deny it all later. We know and have been there and tried.Once they have your money and signature on the dotted line you are theirs to fleece for ever more, there is no going back for 60 years. AGAIN I REPEAT DONT TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGE POLE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED111!!!!!

  12. Thanks Anonymous. Please note the previous comments about other locations to speak to other members. You can get out of CLC if you have a VC ownership. You just need to notify them in writing, according to the instructions on the back of your certificate, which has to be done before the end of August, or you will incur another invoice. If you have another product, let us know. People have and can get out of some of those products.

  13. I agree with Anonymous. We ONLY spent 15k but cannot get the Royale or any other of our preferred sites/dates either. Why? because they are using them to lure possible clients. Its a very bad way to treat people. They show you the best then you can never book it again. On top of this they try to hard sell you more points, (now its with fractions) every time you try to have a break away from it all. Emotional torture and hours of your hard earned holiday ruined... They lie through their teeth continually with no embarrassment whatsoever and then deny ever saying it at a later date, They said, and continue to say, that you can sell easily, its a sound investment, your maintenance fees will hardly increase, its simple to pass on to your children, its exclusive, none of it is true. The worst thing we ever did. For what it costs just with the fees per year we could have an all inclusive holiday with flights included ! DO NOT BELEIVE ANYTHING THEY SAY, STAY AWAY. I am now seeking legal advice through a company specialising in taking these people to court. Bill
